These are claims for compensation that arise from injuries and damages resulting from accidents and other conduct and fall within the area of law called Torts. The most common claims arise from road traffic accidents and accidents at work. Claims also arise from medical conduct, accidents in public places and assault.

In such claims, the injured party claims compensation for (i) losses and damages and (ii) pain and suffering sustained as a result of the accident.

It is worth mentioning that in relation to pain and suffering there is no fixed compensation. The amount to be awarded will depend on a variety of factors such as: the nature & seriousness of the injury, the treatment given, whether there has been full recovery, the extent and seriousness of any permanent damage, the age and occupation of the injured party and the outcome that the injury had on the injured party’s every day life. It is also worth mentioning that it is essential for these claims to be supported by expert evidence, such as medical evidence.

Due the aforesaid particularities, it takes specialized skills to handle such cases. We do specialize in such claims and indeed our firm’s members have represented clients in a vast number of such cases with great success.
